The Source Ring Lubricator is used to provide constant lubrication to contact surfaces inside the source ring assembly. This flanged lubricator consists of an impact resistant polyacetal plastic moulding, that houses a spring loaded, oil impregnated felt wiper and applies a constant film of oil to the working surfaces of the slide without imposing undue friction. Lubricating with oil significantly increases the load and life of the system. These lubricators can operate in any plane and are suitable for continuous rotation or indexing applications. High quality polyacetal material used in housing offers high stiffness, low friction, and excellent dimensional stability. This lubricator can be used in Discovery ST (4 Slice, 8 Slice, 16 Slice and 128 Slice) and Discovery STE (8 Slice and 16 Slice) PET/CT systems.
